Steeton continue to make an impact on their return to Division A thanks mainly to the powerful batting of Australian Nathan Giesler and Neil Spragg.

They brought to an end Adel's 100 per cent start to the season by taking four points from a draw on Saturday and now join Adel and Follifoot at the top of the table on 14 points.

Giesler followed up his century seven days before with 119 that included 15 fours and two sixes and once again found good support from Spragg who passed 50 for the third consecutive match.

After two defeats in a row, Burley looked set for a tough time at Kirkstall, who had matched Adel's maximum points, but only rain prevented them pulling off a stunning victory.

With skipper Richard Brook (67) leading the way, Burley reached 218 for nine and Nick Brook's second four-wicket haul of the season had Kirkstall struggling at 173 for nine. But having lost 15 overs, Burley could only claim a point.

James Davies top-scored as Otley raced to 263 for five at North Leeds, who hit back with a flourish and needed seven for victory off the last two balls. Otley restricted them to a single to take four points.

Rawdon and Tong Park continue to struggle, falling victim to two of the title favourites Bilton and Follifoot respectively.

Rawdon should have done better after Stuart Smith (51) and Craig Walsh (29) put on 65 for the second wicket but they fell victim to a six-wicket spell from Luke Jarvis and their 105 total was never going to be enough against the defending champions.

Rajesh Gahlot scored a half century for Tong Park on his debut but again their 137 total was too little against a side of Follifoot's quality.

Chris Cay and Steve Hargreaves each hit 48 in Green Lane's 172 at Pool but what looked like providing a close finish ended in anti-climax because of the rain.

A fine knock of 69 from Zeeshan Quasim helped Silsden to victory at Knaresborough and they remain in third place behind Division B front-runners Beckwithshaw and Collingham. Ben Platt and Brian Wilson each took four wickets as Guiseley were dismissed for 113, a total Calverley passed with five wickets to spare.

Jiju Jaradhanan (62) and Anthony Cadman (57no) helped Horsforth pass Upper Wharfedale's 191 for six in just 34 overs. Earlier Andrew Foulds had starred for the home side with an undefeated 74.

Thackley went down by five wickets at Collingham despite a four-wicket spell from Mahir Ali, which takes his wicket tally to 15 in three matches, and a half-century from David Corcoran couldn't prevent Olicanian suffering a seven-wicket loss against Beckwithshaw.

Hall Park slumped to their first defeat, victims of Bardsey's Australian Adam Rayner who hit a century and took 4 for 25.

In Division C, Nick Cockroft continued his five wickets per match average with a spell of five for 31 to skittle Alwoodley out for 98 in reply to Ilkley's 229 for six which included 69 from Mike Sant.

That puts Ilkley level at the top of the table with Harden, who beat Skipton by four wickets. Skipper Kevin Owens (52) and Steve Carling (84no) helped Skipton to 191 for eight but Anthony Bairstow followed up last week's half-century with an unbeaten 94 to clinch the points for Harden.

Bolton Villas' new South African Jude Roberts dominated the game, following up a spell of 5 for 47 with a knock of 44, as they beat Ben Rhydding by six wickets.

Menston had much the better of the their match against Addingham, with Adam Campion (80), Nick Thornton (53) and Joe Nash (51) all doing well, but they had to settle for a point because of the rain.
