Yorkshire's Bradford-born all-rounder Adil Rashid was short-listed for the Sky Alive Young Sportsperson of the Year award alongside Rory McIlroy (golf), Tom Rees (rugby union), Jamie Murray (tennis) and Thomas Daley (diving).
However, the award went to Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
