Promising bowler David Wainwright has committed his future to Yorkshire by signing an extended contract.
The slow-left armer, who enjoyed his most productive summer to date at Headingley this year, has agreed a deal that will take him through to the end of the 2010 season.
Wainwright became an ever-present member of the one-day side, finishing the 2007 campaign with 17 wickets at a cost of only 21.39 runs apiece.
This included a man-of-the-match best bowling return of three for six against Durham Dynamos in the Twenty20 Cup at Headingley in June.
Wainwright, 22, said: "I'm really pleased to sign a new deal. This was a terrific season to be playing for Yorkshire and the work doesn't stop now.
"I want to cement my place in the one-day side and work my way into Yorkshire's County Championship team."
