Play was only possible in one of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League's Wynn Cup ties - Cowling v Ingrow St John's.
The hosts batted on a difficult track and made a very creditable 174 for five in 45 overs. Ben Thurston and Mike Dudley put on 38 for the first wicket, when the latter perished for 25.
Gareth Frankland joined Thurston and took the score to 114, where the opener was bowled for a hard-earned 41.
Steve Mitchell followed next ball, but Frankland took charge and stroked and nudged the ball to all parts to finish with a superb 81 not out.
Saints set off well and lost John Green for 24 with the score on 49. Fellow opener Colin Bottomley was looking set, but at 97 he tamely edged to slip and was gone for 66.
From there it was a struggle, wickets tumbled as the rain returned and they were dismissed for 146.
Skipper Steve Richardson (4-23) and Martyn Dalby (3-42) were the main wicket-takers.
