The continued bad weather produced some relatively low scores and tight finishes in the latest round of Craven League matches.

Division One leaders Thornton hosted Embsay and crept home by three wickets with seven balls to spare thanks to Richard Craddock's 59.

Mark Paxton had earlier finished with four for 44 as Embsay slumped from 56 without loss to 72 for six, before recovering to post 150 for eight as John Metcalfe made 41 not out.

Second-placed Crossflatts made 171 for seven at home to Sutton, who had good bowling efforts from Simon Doane (5-53) and Justin Holdsworth (3-51).

Chris Capstick made 40 in reply for winless Sutton but they were all out for 101 as Mick Addy spun his way to seven for 26.

Cullingworth, in third place, had a field day at Bingley Congs as they plundered 286 for four led by Gareth Marshall, who made an unbeaten 113 off 78 balls.

Aussie Dave Cavanagh added 60, Steve Welch 52 and Chris Welch 46, before Congs crumbled to 40 all out against Welch (5-19).

Oakworth moved fourth after a narrow two-wicket victory at Sandy Lane, who were restricted to 109 (Paul Thomas 61no) by Graham Rankin (4-42). Paul Noble's four for 26 could not stop Oakworth taking the points.

Glusburn returned to winning ways, seeing off Bradley by just ten runs. Nick Williamson (59) helped Glusburn to 175 for nine, John Duffy and Matty Simpson taking four wickets each, before the visitors replied with 165 (Kev Hird 4-59).

Haworth won a basement battle with Cowling by 101 runs as Jamie Rowell blasted 95 not out in a total of 213 for four before bagging four for 24 as Cowling were dismissed for 112.

The bowling feat of the day came at Cononley in DIVISION TWO as the home side's Matt Town took nine for 36 to set up a ten-run victory over Ingrow, who were all out for 95.

Leaders Barrowford made the short journey to bottom side Foulridge and restricted them to 117 for eight, John Lickess batting 44.5 overs for 58. Liam Roberts (52) ensured a six-wicket success for the table-toppers.

Airedale skipper Matt Cox (45 and 5-24) led by example as his side sauntered home by eight wickets at home to Haworth Road to retain second spot. John Lewis scored 49 not out for the winners while Will Burgess made 50 for the losers.

Chatburn were too strong for Ingrow St John's, who were all out for 103 in reply to a total of 168 for seven (J Reynolds 55).

Denholme's slide down the table continued as they went down by 42 runs to lowly Glusburn II. Alan Coney (78) guided Glusburn to 192, before Rummy Smith (5-37) ended the reply on 150.

Paul Swindlehurst (7-49) knocked Embsay II over for 91 but Long Lee then collapsed to 41 all out.
