Julian Thornhill brought a smile to the faces at Calverley, notching an unbeaten century as they registered their first win of the season in the clash with fellow Aire-Wharfe League Division Two strugglers Upper Wharfedale.

Thornhill's 108 included 15 fours and two sixes and he found good support from Josh Henri (69) as Calverley raced to 271 for six.

Henri then produced figures of four for 40 as Upper Wharfedale were dismissed for 152, a defeat that leaves them just four points above Calverley.

There were also happy faces at Horsforth who jumped three places after their four-wicket win over Rawdon.

Simon Wilson (58) and Duncan Stow (62) helped Rawdon to 231 for five, their best score of the season, but it wasn't enough as Jiju Janardhanan (61) and Chris Binks (109no) saw Horsforth got home with an over to spare.

Rawdon slump to fifth in the table which is still headed by Guiseley, even though they had to be satisfied with four points against Tong Park.

Mark Ross (63) again top-scored for Guiseley as they set a target of 194 for eight and, even though Park never looked likely to overhaul it, they managed to hang on for two points.

Harden jumped to third after Phil Leng (5-35) restricted New Rover to 176. Matthew King hit 13 fours in his unbeaten 87 and, with Gary Topp weighing in with 55, Harden clinched victory in 42.5 overs.

Hall Park's Tony Gilks produced a six-wicket spell as Silsden were dismissed for 156 but the home side still came out on top by 46 runs, thanks to Zeesham Qasim (4-36) and Yasar Ali (3-27).

Otley continue to be one of Division One's form sides. Their five-wicket win at Burley means they are still unbeaten since the first game of the season and have picked up 16 of a possible 18 points in their last three games.

Ian Normanton (60) helped Burley to 181 but, with Martin Knowles (4-28) pegging away, he didn't find much support and David Taylor (56no) and Sam Smith (41) led Otley's successful charge.

Hagan Shakespeare (65) and Neil Spragg (66) were the leading batsmen as Steeton reached a respectable 238 for nine but Beckwithshaw's openers James Carson (119) and Phil Critchley (111no) put on 222 to set up a win that puts their side at the top of the table.

Oliver Halliday picked up six wickets for Green Lane but still couldn't prevent Bilton racing to 257 for seven. However, Vivek Mahajan (73) and Michael Abbott (53) saw them to victory with five balls to spare.

Andy Campion (78) top-scored for Menston as they overcame Bolton Villas by seven wickets to stay just four points behind Division Three leaders Colton.

Abe Smith (4-63) and Charlie Dracup (3-39) had restricted Villas to 144 for nine despite a fine unbeaten 70 from Barry Hawksworth.

Richard Hey took five for 28 as Thackley were bowled out for 124 before Addingham openers Phil Smith (83no) and Darrell Robinson (35no) put their side into third spot.

Set a monster 351 for eight target by Woodhouse, Olicanian hit 253, with Dave Corcoran (73) and Garfield Williams (51) the pick of the batsmen.

Accurate bowling by Gary Owens (5-46) and Andrew Fergie (5-56) dismissed Ben Rhydding for 149 and made it easy for Skipton to notch their second win of the season.

Ilkley also picked up a second victory, overcoming bottom club Alwoodley by five wickets after Andy Rhodes (3-52) and Chris Quaife (4-29) had restricted the home side to just 123.
