The match of the day in the First Division between 100 per cent duo Allerton and Great Horton Church resulted in visitors Great Horton Church recording a comfortable five-wicket win.

The prolific Zafran Ghaffar (72) and Umar Hussain (73no) shared a fourth-wicket partnership of 107 to help knock off the home side's earlier total of 188 (Masood Zaman 56), finishing on 190 for five.

One point away from the summit are unbeaten Hepworth & Idle, who hit 204 for six on their way to a four-wicket win at Norwood Green.

It was thanks in the main to an opening stand of 84 between Dave McDermott (52) and skipper Anthony Heaton (44).

Earlier, Ali Asghar (45) and Nabeel Nawaz (41) had steered Norwood Green to 199.

There was a first league win of the season for Thornbury (202-4) on Saturday, with skipper Kaleem Afzal hitting 105 in reply to basement side Salem Athletic's 201.

The pick for Salem was 14-year-old Usman Arshad's unbeaten 75.

Laisterdyke also notched their first six points, with another skipper, Amjad Malik, to the fore in an 87-run win at BT (Bradford). He took six for 25 to dismiss BT Bradford for just 94.

In the final match in Division One, Wibsey Park Chapel (100) were beaten by 30 runs in the local derby at home to Girlington, who earlier had reached 130.

For the first time this season there are clear leaders in Division Two, where Laisterdyke overwhelmed visitors BT (Bradford), who were shot out for 91.

Opening bowlers Danny Wilkins (6-38) and David Graham (4-52) proved too much for pointless BT.

Laisterdyke raced to victory with the loss of just one wicket.

The season's best bowling performance so far was achieved by Paul Fenton of Wibsey Park Chapel, who returned eight for 36 against Girlington (89). However, it was all to no avail as Park Chapel were shot out for a paltry 48 in reply.
