JCT600 Bradford League Division One leaders East Bierley were beaten for the first time yesterday, losing by 22 runs at Cleckheaton.
Ian Wood proved to be their undoing as he made 44 not out in the hosts' total of 200 for eight off 45 overs and then took four for 54.
He top-scored for Cleck and shared in a crucial unbroken ninth-wicket stand of 58 with teenager Edward Walmsley, who made 23.
Then he helped mop up the lower Bierley order after John Wood (3-35) had made early inroads, Jaffer Nazir's 57 proving in vain.
Woodlands remain an ominous presence seven points behind in second place after edging home by four wickets at Brighouse.
The hosts were dismissed for just 107 as Safraz Ahmed took five for 28 but the visitors didn't have it all their own way in reply. They were 65 for six before Sam Frankland (36no) and Adam Goldthorpe (28no) saw them home.
Baildon continued their impressive start to the season with a comprehensive win at struggling Hanging Heaton.
Spinners Mushtaq Ahmed (3-29) and Jeremy Batty (3-38) were instrumental in restricting the Batley side to 140 for eight.
Then young Jonathan Rey-nolds came to the fore with 40 in a stand of 98 with Ian Philliskirk (71) as the visitors cruised home by seven wickets.
After losing to Baildon two days earlier, Pudsey Congs got back on track with a six-wicket win at neighbours Pudsey St Lawrence.
Tom Glover took four for 45 as Saints made 167 for nine before Alex Twigg produced the knock of the day with 95 for Congs.
Manningham Mills were 101-run winners in the battle of the promoted sides at Bowling Old Lane. Amer Rashid (73) and Muenoddin Kadri (63) put on 125 in Mills' 186 all out before Nasser Jamal (3-36) and Gemaal Hussain (3-23) helped to skittle the hosts.
Ethy Mbhalati (4-35) and Phil Slater (53no) were the key men for Bradford & Bingley in their four-wicket win at Saltaire.
Farsley's misery continued with a three-wicket defeat at home to Idle, for whom Andy Marshall took four for four.
Division Two leaders Morley also suffered their first league defeat when they visited Yeadon. Openers Andrew Robertson (79) and Jonny Henry (57) put on 128 as the hosts reached their target of 157 with seven wickets to spare.
Esholt remain second after beating Bankfoot, improving Windhill won at Hartshead Moor, while bottom club Lightcliffe upset Undercliffe.
