THERE will be four divisions of ten teams in the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League for the 2016 season.

Clubs opted for that at the first league meeting of the new year, rather than having 12 teams in Group A and B and eight in C and D.

Bradford Gymkhana A and B will play at Woodhall Park, Hallfield B at Hirst Wood, Mandhata at Northcliffe Park and VVS Laxman at Cross Roads & Daisy Hill, with Yorkshire LPS A and B at Westwood Park.

Due to flood damage that has meant Apperley Bridge's clubhouse must be knocked down, they have requested away matches for the opening three weeks.

The league said that this would be very difficult to achieve, but would give them away matches in weeks one and three.

Clubs were also warned that, in order to keep the ground fees from Bradford Council down, they must be prepared to do more of the cutting and marking work themselves.

Umpires' Association secretary Graham Langton said: "Fifteen clubs have not filled out their umpires' forms and we have six teams with no umpires whatsoever.

"We need 40 umpires to be fully staffed and we have 26 at the moment, which is not acceptable.

"I cannot guarantee that every match will have an umpire."

League president Alan Broadbent said: "It is no good umpires ringing up on Friday night to say that they cannot umpire the following day.

"You are either umpiring or you are not."

Langton added that new umpires should officiate in 12 to 14 matches a season in order to gain experience.

Group A: Apperley Bridge, Bradford Gymkhana, Bradford Moor YCA, Girlington, Great Horton Church, Hallfield, Interlink, Omars, Salem Athletic, VVS Laxman.

Group B: Allerton, Bowling Baptists, Bradford Gymkhana B, Cambing, Cross Roads & Daisy Hill Methodists, Girlington B, Great Horton Church B, Parkside, Salem Athletic B, Yorkshire LPS.

Group C: Bowling Baptists B, Cambing B, Great Horton Methodists, Greenfield, Hallfield B, Mandhata, Mayfield, West Bowling, Yorkshire Friends, Yorkshire LPS B.

Group D: Allerton B, Bradford Indians, Buttershaw St Paul's, Central YMCA, Great Horton Methodists B, Greenfield B, Mayfield B, Muff Field A, Muff Field B, TABS.
