Farsley skipper Ashley Metcalfe believes negotiating the wicket at Yeadon is crucial to success in Sunday's Heavy Woollen Cup.
The second-round tie is the only all-Bradford League contest and Metcalfe's men are seeking to avoid a second successive defeat to a Division Two outfit following their Priestley Cup loss to Great Horton.
"It's never easy going to Yeadon on a pitch which is difficult when you only see it infrequently. It is certainly easier if you play on it every other week.
"Yeadon are making a serious push for promotion and we know it won't be easy."
Steve Lawrence and Chris Henry return to their former club following a mixed weekend which saw Farsley gain their first win of the season against Cleckheaton before the Great Horton defeat.
Metcalfe admitted: "It's not been an easy start to the season but we are a young side and it was always going to be that way. We are inconsistent but that is not unexpected."
The two most intriguing ties see two top Bradford League sides pit their wits against counterparts from the Central Yorkshire League.
Last year's finalists Baildon visit league champions Wren-thorpe, who recruited Pudsey St Lawrence's Gary Fellows and Pudsey Congs' Neil Gill in the close season, while Woodlands entertain Methley.
