SPENCER Mawer gave an outstanding all-round performance for Oxenhope as bottom club Stones were beaten again in Division One of the Foster's Halifax League.
Oxenhope's early order all made double figures but only Stuart Jackson (46) went on to something more substantial as the score reached 147-7.
Then No 9 Mawer hit a blistering 80 not out, aided by a welcome return to form from No 10 Tom Tetley (39) as the visitors revived to 259-9.
Mawer (5-21) then confirmed his ability with the ball, taking out the first five batters in a spell of nine overs, before Taranjeet Jhaeeta (3-23) and Duncan Tetley (2-24) cleaned up the tail to curtail the innings on 172.
Northowram Hedge Top kept up the pressure on leaders Sowerby St Peters with a three-wicket triumph over struggling Low Moor.
The visitors posted a competitive 227-8, with Mark Mills hitting 63 and Mark Stokes 52 as Sam Gardner (4-42) and Harry Talbot (4-26) made sure their side had something to play for.
It was not going to plan at 54-3 but then Adam Stocks (46) and Ian Mallard (78) picked up the innings by the boot straps as they reached 229-7.
Great Horton Park Chapel and Cullingworth both suffered blows in their bid to be promoted from Division Two.
Hosts Park Chapel were hustled out for 70, with Harry Reynolds (3-30) and Richard Dixon (6-36) their chief tormentors as Adam Beesley (28) top-scored.
Old Crossleyans batted with purpose in their reply to win by eight wickets in 16 overs and maintain second place in the table.
League new boys Upper Hopton only used two bowlers as Cullingworth were dismissed for 78, only No 9 Phil Poole (27) making double figures as Waseem Iqbal took 6-43 and John Stanger 4-27.
The Mirfield side replied with 79-4 off 20 overs as Graham Rankin took 3-13.
Denholme Clough beat higher-placed Clayton by seven wickets after the latter side managed a meagre 102, with Matthew Roe (31) attempting to inject some purpose late on.
Tanweer Aslam took 5-45 and then watched as Adil Hanif (46no) and Mohammed Yousaf (30no) steered their side past the target.
Steve Priestley hammered a century off 58 balls for Shelf but his 112 (eight sixes, 12 fours) was still not enough to prevent a defeat at the hands of Greetland.
Babar Nawaz Malik (38) helped Priestley add 113 for the fourth wicket in Shelf's 207 but that was just short of Greetland's 217-9, despite Priestley's 4-26.
Jer Lane maintained their position at the top of the Premier Division after beating Blackley by exactly 100 runs, openers Chris Shannon and Wayne Cotton laying the foundations in Jer's 272-8 with 73 and 92 respectively.
That total was always going to be a daunting prospect for Blackley, who fell to 86-6 on their way to 172 as Simon Collins finished with 4-42 and Nasir Chowdrey 3-56.
Booth followed up their Parish Cup success over Thornton with a one-wicket success against the same foe.
Thornton must have fancied their chances after racking up a healthy 293-6, with Greg Soames (74), Nikki Hutchinson (70), Michael Shanks (53) and Joshua Hutchinson (59) thrashing the bowlers.
But Booth had the free-scoring Robert Laycock to thank as he crashed a boundary-laden 134, with Usman Saghir contributing 53 in a total of 295-9 after they had been 52-5. Joshua Hutchinson took 4-104.
Queensbury's woes at the wrong end of the table continued with a 27-run reversal at home to Copley, Tom Watson being left high and dry on 65 not out as the hosts pursued Copley's 179.
