Shelf are in second place after Imran Mirza (40no) and Kamran Ahmed (31) rescued a perilous situation at 71-6 to eventually overhaul Tong Park Esholt's 123-6.

Denholme must have been confident of victory after restricting Thackley to 86-7 – but a constant fall of wickets left them too much to do in the last over, with their reply finishing on 81-7.

Abdul Basit (55no) and Waheed Ur Rehman (42) were responsible for Salem's 137-7 after Great Horton Park Chapel were all out for 133.

In Division Two, Stonewhite made a mighty 206-1 as half-centuries from Faheem Ashraf, Zeeshan Qasim and Gulsheraz Ahmed led to a declaration with more than two overs remaining.

But Scott Richardson's 50 not out ensured some respectability for Buttershaw St Paul's in their reply of 118-6.

Indian Panthers secured a narrow victory as John Breare chased their 147-8. Two 'diamond' ducks in the last over meant that Breare fell four runs short of their target.

Imran Khalid (50no) and Mohammed Shah (43) were instrumental in Mayfield's 167-4, with Daisy Hill being restricted to 117-7 in reply.

Shipley Providence celebrated their first win of the season as Umar Malik (61) helped his side to 158 at Cambing.

Malik then proved his worth with the ball as his two wickets helped limit the home side to 123-7.
