OTLEY moved level on points with Division One leaders Beckwithshaw after taking maximum points from their 84-run Aire-Wharfe League win at Ilkley.

Half-centuries from Josh Atkinson, David Hester and James Davies helped Otley to 257-7 – but victory still seemed far from certain as Ilkley's opening pair Will Spivey and Rory Kroon dug themselves in.

They put on 111 before Kroon was trapped lbw on 65 by Davies, the first of his four victims. Spivey (47) followed soon after and, with George Huntley also taking four wickets, Ilkley were dismissed for 173.

Beckwithshaw took two quick Rawdon wickets but Ben Heritage (32) and Andrew Duckworth (48) steadied things with an 83-run stand.

An unbeaten 40 from Andrew Doidge helped the visitors to 205-9, a total Beckwithshaw passed with five wickets to spare but dropped two bonus points to allow Otley to draw level.

Follifoot became the third Aire-Wharfe side to lose all their points for fielding an ineligible player – and Steeton thwarted any hopes they had of getting back on track with a comfortable win.

James Freebury was the main destroyer with an 11.4-over spell of 6-39 as Follifoot were dismissed for 124, a total Steeton passed with six wickets in hand.

Skipper Richard Nichols led from the front as Skipton overcame Tong Park Esholt to move into Division Two's top four.

The Skipton opener included 20 fours in his unbeaten 130 as his side cruised to 251-7.

Danny Groom (72) led the chase but after he was out, wickets tumbled regularly to Iqbal Khan (5-41) and Andrew Fergie (4-66) and the visitors were bowled out for 194.

Extra bonus points for Colton in their win over Knaresborough saw them take over top spot from Horsforth, who made hard work of beating Ben Rhydding.

Matthew Wainwright looked to have given them an easy task with a 7-29 spell that included two wickets in consecutive balls with the score at 59 and then three in six balls at 106.

Yet Ben Rhydding's 129 total proved far from easy, with Charlie Swallow (5-74) and Alex Miller (3-30) chipping away after Leon Harber (44) was dismissed.

The eighth and ninth wickets went down with Horsforth still needing two to win and it was with some relief that they crossed the finishing line.

Waleed Akhtar's second century of the season was the highlight of Green Lane's win at Adel that moves them closer to safety after their massive points deduction.

Former Bradford League player Tosh Baker cracked an unbeaten 143 off 129 balls, including 25 fours and a six, out of Pool's 225. David Amos then took 5-40 as Illingworth were thrashed by 140 runs as Pool went third.

Jonathan Rudge included three wickets in five balls in his 6-33 spell as Harden were restricted to 171, which included a tenth-wicket stand of 75 from Mark Portlock (55no) and Phil Leng (54).

Michael O'Flaherty (5-38) did his best to thwart Thackley but they got home with two wickets to spare, Joshua Brooksbank (42) being their top scorer.

With former Leeds United and England goalkeeper Nigel Martyn hitting 69 not out to steer Old Modernians to victory over Division Three leaders New Rover, the way was open for Addingham and Olicanian to make up some ground.

Olicanian took full advantage at Bardsey, Jamie Hudson (65) and Sajeed Ijaz (49no) leading the way in their 235-7.

Bernard Hughes (4-54) and Harry Smallwood, who followed up his 35 with 4-36, then dismissed the home side for 175 to claim full points and move to within four of the leaders.

But Addingham let their chance slip. Chasing Alwoodley's 194, they slumped to 23-4 and even though the middle order steadied things, Addingham still went down by 14 runs.

Jonathan Postle (5-34) was the main architect as Calverley were dismissed for 114, putting Hall Park on the way to a second successive win.

Charlie Parker (4-26) and Ashley Close (6-28) skittled out Silsden for 56. Parker then scored 42 not out as Menston won in just 9.1 overs.

Junaid Bashir (7-38) and Sam Lawrence (3-44) dismissed Upper Wharfedale for 148 before Luke Stockhill (63no) and David Bayne (67no) clinched Bolton Woods' eight-wicket win.
