TED Lester and Will Parker were the stand-out players for Hawks, who beat the Penguins by three wickets at Cracoe Cricket Club.
The visiting Penguins were restricted to 124-9 off their 35 overs, Mark Sanderson (25) and Brian Appleyard (24) providing stubborn resistance to Parker, who took 3-6 off seven overs.
Experienced opening duo Lester (70) and Jim Dracup (22) then put on 60 for the Hawks before Dracup was run out attempting a single he wouldn't have got when he was 25, let alone 55!
Highlight of the match was a catch by eight-year-old Henry Scott to dismiss Sanderson off the bowling of his dad Jason.
On Sunday, the Hawks face Yorkshire Gents at St Margrets School's Escrick Park in York (noon).
