THE Mewies Solicitors Craven League are holding an executive meeting at Glusburn Cricket Club tonight to decide who will take over the running of the league.
The meeting was arranged at short notice as the Telegraph & Argus believes that husband and wife team Trevor and Ann Coe resigned as secretary and fixture secretary respectively over the weekend.
It is also understood that the next league executive committee meeting on Monday, June 8 could well be expanded to a full league meeting so that club delegates can attend.
In league action, only a stand of 75 for Foulridge's fourth wicket at Beckfoot Lane detained Division One leaders Bingley Congs for long.
The Lancastrians totalled 129, pacemen Matt Roberts taking 5-39 and Harry Greenhalgh 3-23, before Tom Mackenzie (42) and Ryan Jennings (25) added 60 for Congs' second wicket in a five-wicket triumph.
Haworth, who are only a point behind, took a leaf out of Congs' book as opening bowlers Damian Rowell (4-25) and Stephen Bell (3-29) helped dismiss hosts Chatburn for 80.
Jamie Rowell (53no) and Pete Gower (27no) then knocked the runs off for a ten-wicket victory in just 20 overs.
Ingrow St John's, who are third, were set a more difficult task by Haworth Road, who made 181-9 (Wasim Hussain 4-38).
But the home side's reply was smooth as Deepal Dissanayake (60), Omar Khatab (51) and Nadeem Safdar (44) helped Saints home by seven wickets in 31.3 overs.
Oakworth are also on 11 points after defeating Crossflatts at Ryshworth Park, with Steve Filkin's 3-17 giving Oaks the edge by 31 runs.
Mohammed Zulfiqar's 5-43 spearheaded Riddlesden's ten-run win over Embsay to also put the winners on 11 points.
Lowly Sutton must have been optimistic when Rob Walker dismissed the first three Barrowford batsman cheaply as they began chasing the hosts' 177-8 (Rob Wilkinson 53, David Snowden 34).
But the game was then swiftly taken away from them as the Lancastrians lost only two more wickets in passing their target in just 28.2 overs.
Division Three front-runners Cononley breezed home against visitors Skipton CI as Herbie Starkey gave a man-of-the-match display with 5-36 and 87 not out.
Starkey was supported by his brother and skipper Andrew, who made an unbeaten 80.
