MARTYN Dalby was the key figure for Cowling as they won a low-scoring encounter at Hepworth & Idle to maintain joint-leadership of Division Two in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.
First Dalby took 5-29, Banaras Hussain weighing in with 3-24, as the hosts were hustled out for 81. He then scored 32 not out as the visitors won by eight wickets to stay level with Thornton-in-Craven on 14 points.
Runs were also at a premium at Gargrave, where Glusburn struggled to 102 – with each of the seven home bowlers picking up at least one wicket.
Nick Williamson made 27 and that turned out to be the game's top score as Gargrave could only total 78, Dave Atkinson taking 7-42 as Glusburn climbed to third.
Their improvement in the table is partly down to Bradley's shock defeat at Ingrow, who notched their first win after successfully defending a total of 165.
Owen Palmer top-scored with 35 for Ingrow, Tim Rudden taking 4-22, but there was insufficient support for Craig Tempest (52) and Neil Andrews (38) when Bradley batted.
They collapsed from 96-2, with Dan Scott taking 4-13, Tom Bradley 3-16 and Jake Hoyle 3-55.
