ADDINGHAM lightning struck twice as, for the second year in a row, the Division Three side ended top-flight Rawdon's Waddilove Cup dreams in the Aire-Wharfe League.
Last year it involved maths as rain interfered with play but this time it was just old-fashioned great batting.
With opener Harry Nicholson scoring a half-century, Rawdon made a steady start but then lost three wickets in six balls at 140 and needed a half-century stand from Andrew Duckworth and George Myers to help them to a useful 234-9.
That looked to be plenty when Addingham lost their first two wickets for 25 – but then Ricky Palacio joined Will Atkins and the pair put on 180 for the third wicket.
Palacio (96) fell just short of his century for the second day in a row, leaving Atkins (89no) to see out the win with Laurie O'Connor.
Addingham now have a home tie against Horsforth, who cruised past Knaresborough after Gareth Lee (104) and Ryan Sharrocks (61) put on 126 in their 239-6.
Jonathan Rudge produced a devastating 8.2-over spell of 8-30 to skittle out Division Two leaders Green Lane for 44, half of which were scored by captain Neil Britton. Joe Ollerenshaw (28no) saw Thackley to victory in 6.4 overs to make nonsense of the league table.
Thackley will travel to Calverley, conquerors of Silsden, who must be wondering what they have to do to win a match, having scored 468 runs at the weekend and lost both games.
Sadir Khan (55) was top-scorer in their 228-8 but Jatinder Singh (64) and Ben Waller (76) made sure Calverley got home by one wicket.
Half-centuries from Danny Bryan and Tom Day and a brisk 99 not out by Jason Wright took Burley to 305-6.
Harden made a spirited reply, with Michael O'Flaherty, Mark Portlock and Paul Quinlan getting into the 40s, but came up 53 runs short of victory. Burley have the tie of the next round at league leaders Beckwithshaw.
A century stand between Josh Atkinson (59) and David Hester (59) put holders Otley on the way to a 164-run win over Illingworth and a clash with Adel, who recovered from losing four quick wickets in mid-innings to pass Guiseley's 117 with two wickets to spare.
Ross Todd, who was run out on 95, was the main contributor to Tong Park Esholt's 232-7. But David Healey (60) and Scott Sanderson (38) laid the foundation before Chris Wheeler (54no) saw Olicanian into the next round.
There they will face Alwoodley, who beat Ben Rhydding by two runs with a run-out on the penultimate ball.
Chasing 215-7, Ben Rhydding looked on target when Matt Proudman (82) and Robbie Miller (58) shared a 113-run stand for the third wicket.
But they lost five wickets in a 3.3-over spell with only three runs added and, despite some quick hitting from Alex Miller and Rob Withers, they came up just short.
Tom Stead (74) top-scored in Steeton's 214-6 but a half-century from Ian Chaplin and an unbeaten stand from Alex Bailey (67no) and Nick Cockcroft (49no) clinched a seven-wicket win for Ilkley.
They face a tricky trip to league new boys Old Modernians, who comfortably beat Skipton, despite Kevin Owens' half-century.
Andrew Clarke hit 80 in Bolton Villas' 220-5 but Follifoot overtook that with four wickets in hand.
An eighth-wicket stand of 100 from Mohsin Iqbal (40) and Sam Boyden (53) salvaged some respect for Menston, who recovered from 29-7 to 131. But that was never going to be enough against Collingham, who lost just two wickets in reaching their target.
