QUEENSBURY beat the rain to notch their first victory of the season and climb off the bottom of the Foster's Halifax League Premier Division.
Bury only made 118 at Sowerby Bridge, Jason Slator top-scoring with 41, but the hosts replied with 72, just two players making double figures as Gurdev Singh took 4-10 and Amjad Ali 3-19.
Jer Lane also beat the elements to climb to second on the back of a 61-run victory over visitors SBCI.
Wayne Cotton made 63 and Raqeeb Younas 43, adding 93 for the third wicket in Lane's 179, and SBCI were always on the back foot in their 118, opening bowlers Nasir Chowdrey taking 3-17 and Aiden Winnard 2-21.
There was no joy for Thornton, however, who lost by eight wickets to Triangle, despite 79 from Chris Ramsden, 45 from Nick Hutchinson and 41 from Joshua Hutchinson as Thornton made 220-9.
In Division Two, Denholme Clough lost by four wickets at Old Crossleyans.
Clough were 19-3 but recovered to 202-8, Tanweer Aslam (52) and Mohammed Zhabair Yousaf (49) putting on 81 for the fourth wicket before Mohammed Faisal Hussain weighed in with 36.
Crocs were 106-5 but Jonathan Sykes (44) and Asad Mukhtar (41no) helped them over the line with an over to spare.
There was no play at Low Moor (Division One) and Shelf, Outlane (where Cullingworth were the visitors) and Greetland (who were facing Great Horton Park Chapel).
