WARWICKSHIRE batsman Ian Westwood fell four runs short of a maiden double hundred during the second morning of the LV= County Championship match at Headingley but the visitors remain in a healthy position.
Yorkshire struck three times before lunch through Tim Bresnan, James Middlebrook and Matthew Fisher, with Warwickshire advancing from an overnight 270-4 to 382-7 from 130 overs at the interval.
Bresnan picked up his fourth wicket of the innings in the fourth over of the day when he bowled Pete McKay for 17, before Westwood and Rikki Clarke shared 82 runs inside 22 overs for the sixth wicket.
Clarke hit Middlebrook for a straight six before seeing the veteran off-spinner trap Westwood lbw with a quicker ball, leaving the score at 360-6.
Fisher then picked up the former England all-rounder lbw for 39 in the penultimate over of the session, leaving Keith Barker and Jeetan Patel the not out batsmen.
