PROMOTED Thornbury have made a winning start to life in the A Division.
The B Division runners-up restricted Leeds Sikh to 172, Kaleem Afzal taking 6-28, before replying with 177-2, of which Saad Abbas made 79 and Kamran Ali 38.
Bradford Moor, the other promoted club, did not fare so well, losing at Shipley Providence, who scored 184, Muzumal Shah top-scoring with 48 as Myrtaza Ali Abbas took 5-42.
Irfan Sadiq led Moor's reply with 40 but Waseem Khan bagged 4-22 as they were dismissed for 121.

League newcomers Woodhouse laid down a marker in B Division, defeating Drighlington, who were third last season, by 134 runs, while Nick Speight's 68 not out carried Great Horton Park Chapel to a two-wicket victory at Leeds Sikh B in C Division.
