YORKSHIRE are in a healthy position after two sessions of their LV= County Championship opener against Worcestershire at New Road, despite not having it all their own way.
At 11-2 this morning, the home side were under the cosh, but a century stand for the third wicket between Moeen Ali (62) and unbeaten Tom Fell saw them gain the upper hand.
Tim Bresnan, however, has struck twice this afternoon and Jack Brooks once to add to his two morning scalps to reduce the score from 129-2 to 171-5.
Bresnan had Moeen caught behind and Alex Gidman, stuck on the crease, lbw before Brooks bowled Tom Kohler-Cadmore while the right-hander attempted a pull shot.
Worcester will resume this evening on 190-5 from 64 overs, with Fell on 98 and Cox on 10.
