FORMER Woodlands player Paul Winrow, who has returned to Elland after a year at Shelley, is to again captain the club in the Huddersfield League.
Hard-hitting opening bat Niall Lockley is back from Golcar, while Elland's overseas player will be 20-year-old all-rounder Nishant Desai, who is from New Zealand but whose family have Indian origins.
They have also signed South Africa-born Robin Broom, from Western Australia, who is a British passport holder, plus Yorkshire under-16 squad members Ben Birkhead, a wicketkeeper-batsman from Rastrick, seam bowling all-rounder Alec Jakeman – son of former Elland player Gary – and leg-spinning all-rounder Siraj Sajid from Delph & Dobcross.
Departures include 2014 skipper Greg Finn to Woodlands, batsman Fahid Rehman to Methley and pace bowler Wasim Qasim to Delph & Dobcross.
