ALASTAIR Cook and Michael Carberry departed this morning as Yorkshire chipped away at the MCC’s second innings in Abu Dhabi.
The county champions headed into lunch on day three with their opponents at 103-2 from 36 overs, still trailing by 48 runs.
Cook was caught at mid-wicket by Adil Rashid off Jack Brooks for just five in the 12th over - the seventh of the day - as the MCC were reduced to 30-1.
Adam Lyth’s off-spin then accounted for Carberry, smartly caught at slip by Tim Bresnan, leaving the score 80-2 in the 28th over. It was only Lyth’s fourth ball of the innings.
