YORKSHIRE had the MCC on the rack in Abu Dhabi thanks to five wickets in the afternoon session of day one of the champion county fixture.
Jack Brooks and Will Rhodes struck twice apiece and Tim Bresnan once as the MCC slipped from 160-3 to 196-8, with half-centurions James Hildreth and Daryl Mitchell both departing.
Rhodes picked up the first wickets of his first-class career - Mitchell lbw for 54 and Adam Riley the same way.
Bresnan had earlier trapped Hildreth in front for 89, before Brooks bowled Sam Billings offering no shot and got Chris Rushworth caught behind in the 55th over.
The MCC went in to tea at 214-8 from 64 overs.
