THE Yorkshire Cricket Board Groundsmens' Association are holding a special general meeting a week on Sunday (March 22) to discuss their dissolution and the creation of a new independent body – the Yorkshire Cricket Groundsmens' Association.
The formation of the YCGA is the preferred option of the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and will open up the possibility of external commercial funding.
The SGM will be from 12.30-2pm, also taking in lunch, at the YCBGA's annual conference hosted by New Rover Cricket Club in Adel (10am).
Schedule – 10am: Tea or coffee and registration; 10.30am: Welcome and introduction; 10.45am: Clive Nottingham (Lloyds Turfcare & Equipment demonstrations); 11.45am: Clint Hillhouse (Stuart Canvas); 12.30pm: Lunch and SGM; 2pm: Nick Gladstone (Hurrells Seeds); 2.45pm: Grounds education, short courses, question and answer; 3.15pm: Final comments and departure.
