Andrew Gale has been penalised six points by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for showing dissent at umpire Peter Willey’s incorrect decision to give him out caught behind off his trouser leg in the recent LV= County Championship match against Lancashire.
Gale challenged a decision that was reversed, but the ECB have punished him anyway.
The Yorkshire skipper was given six points instead of three because of a previous offence within the last two years. Another swift three points would force a ban.
