Adam Lyth and Alex Lees both scored unbeaten half-centuries to help Yorkshire seize the initiative in their LV= County Championship match against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road.
Having conceded a first-innings lead of 115, the pair batted without alarm through the afternoon session of day two to reach tea at 151-0 from 44 overs, a lead of 36.
Lyth reached his 50 off 68 balls and Lees his off 121 balls, with both left-handers having hit eight fours in their milestone. They began the evening session on 81 and 57 respectively.
