Yorkshire made a solid start to their second innings during the morning session of day two against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road as they look to erase a deficit of 115.
A frantic first day had seen the visitors, invited to bat, bowled out for just 136 before Northants responded with 191-7.
They advanced that to 251 all out this morning as Steve Patterson struck once and Adil Rashid twice.
The conditions seemed much easier for batting today, although bowlers are still finding some help.
The White Rose county will resume after lunch on 43-0 from 11 overs, still 72 runs behind, with Adam Lyth and Alex Lees on 29 and ten respectively.
