Just one Craven League fixture survived the dismal Saturday weather that claimed the majority of fixtures around the district.
It came in Division Five as eight-man Cowling Seconds travelled to play Gargrave Seconds and put up a brave fight before losing by three wickets.
Cowling made just 78 against Richard Saxby (3-29) and Ben Wood (3-14) but the hosts also struggled before edging home despite the best efforts of Paul Kerrigan (4-13) and Ray Jones (3-30).
The league’s Wynn Cup competition also fell victim to the rain as all second-round ties scheduled for Sunday were washed out.
They have now been rearranged for this coming Sunday with the exception of the Foulridge v Sutton clash, which is due to be played the following weekend (Sunday, June 8).
