Yorkshire were in among the wickets and chasing LV= County Championship victory over Durham with one session to go.
Five wickets in the afternoon set the nerves jangling in the home dressing room as the champions reached tea at 55-4 from 26 overs in their second innings, still 146 runs in arrears.
Yorkshire had a minimum of 34 overs to take the last six wickets and claim an impressive innings win.
Liam Plunkett had Graham Onions caught behind shortly after lunch to wrap up Durham’s first innings for 388, which amounted to a deficit of 201.
It did not take Yorkshire long to strike in Durham’s second innings.
Mark Stoneman was run out at the non-striker’s end following a deflection from bowler Plunkett, before Scott Borthwick was caught behind for a golden duck off Jack Brooks the very next ball as Durham slipped to 10-2 in the seventh over.
Kumar Sangakkara was caught in the slips off Ryan Sidebottom (35-3) before Adil Rashid’s first ball accounted for Michael Richardson caught behind. Durham were 42-4 in the 19th over at that stage.
Opener Keaton Jennings and Paul Collingwood resumed after tea on 23 and five respectively.
