The Bradford Sunday Alliance League are being encoraged to achieve FA Charter Standard status.

A West Riding County FA official is due to attend the monthly meeting in March to explain to clubs what is required of them to earn the kite-mark.

According to the county FA website, leagues must have 60 per cent of their member clubs with the award to become a Charter Standard League, with the requirement of hitting 100 per cent within two years of attaining the status.

The Sunday Alliance Premier already has four clubs with the accolade – Dudley Hill Rangers, Stanningley Albion, Sandy Lane and Wyke Wanderers.

The kitemark offers leagues a process to raise standards and a practical means to deliver initiatives in line with the needs of member clubs.

The Sunday Alliance is also looking at the possibility of starting an under-21 division.

Matches would be played on Sunday mornings on grass or 3G pitches.

Interested clubs with players between 18 and 21, who are looking to progress towards open-age football for season 2014-2015, are asked to contact Brian Goodall on 01943-831586 or e-mail patgoodall@bsafl.plus.com.

Meanwhile, Buttershaw White Star are hoping to get their delayed Bradford Sunday Senior Cup played at Mill Lane tomorrow.

But the wet weather means much of the fixture list is in doubt again.

One match that should go ahead is the top-of-the-table clash in Division 3A between Clayton Village Sports and Social and Eccleshill WMC, which takes place on the 3G surface at Thornton Grammar School.

Bolton Woods Social are due to host Alexander in the fourth round of the Intermediate cup while, in the Amateur Cup, Station Hotel are at home to Greenwood FC at the same stage.

In the league, Premier Division Bolton Woods have a week off from trying to get their West Riding County Cup tie against Thornhill Lees on as they entertain Relay FC, while West Bowling will be trying to take advantage of White Star’s cup exploits by taking the points from lowly Dudley Hill Rangers.
