League chairman Nick Spachis believes the Bradford Mutual Sunday School League’s imprint on cricket within the city is growing larger.
In his address to the league’s annual meeting at Clayton Rugby League Club, he said: “I am pleasantly surprised to see that the league plays a more important part in cricket in Bradford.
"We have expanded to such a degree that we have more teams and more umpires, and we have a very efficiently-run league which has become a jewel in Bradford.”
“We have strong teams and strong discussions in our meetings, and I hope that we continue to have these healthy debates even if we change our structure.”
He added: “As far as disciplinary issues are concerned, we have dealt with them in a concise and prompt way and I hope that we will thrive and get more to the forefront of cricket in Bradford.”
