The 75th anniversary season of Hawks Cricket Club closed on a sad note with the death of long-time member Charlie Clayton. He was 58.
Clayton, who had been a member of the nomadic club for several decades and was also active in their golf set-up, died of cancer at St James’ Hospital in Leeds.
He leaves long-term partner Bernadette and her two sons Dan and Ben.
