There were centuries galore in a run-laden second round of the Foster's Halifax League's Parish Cup with Kier Litjens’ unbeaten 105 helping Northowram Hedge Top upset Bradshaw, who are a division higher.
Teenager Litjens played a typically patient innings after a let-off or two, batting throughout the 45 overs and receiving backing from Gary Severn (43) and Hasnain Wajid (30) as hosts Hedge Top made 234-6 against a somewhat depleted bowling attack.
That proved enough as Bradshaw were always just behind the clock, former Northowram player Richard Moore making 48 and Dean Cotton 45 in a reply of 218-6.
Booth racked up surely one of the biggest scores in Parish Cup history - 426-5 in a 160-run home win over Oxenhope.
A 246-run opening stand between Chris Shannon (144) and Patrick Thomas (119) set them on their way, and Rob Laycock (68no) and Andrew Truscott (40no) kept the scoreboard ticking over at a rate of knots.
It was game up when Oxenhope slumped to 147-7 but Booth were in no mood to rub the visitors’ noses in it, Duncan Tetley (64no) and Reece Webb-Foster (48no) lifting the total to 266 as the hosts used ten bowlers.
Raqeeb Younis’s stunning run of form continued as Premier Division leaders Jer Lane saw off a plucky challenge from visitors Queensbury by 30 runs.
The former Windhill player scored 130 for the second day running, the tall, classy opener adding 168 for the second wicket with Jonny Lister (89no), who hit the last two balls of the innings for six to leave Queensbury needing 300 for victory.
Queensbury gave it a good go, spearheaded by Amjad Ali’s 84, but Younis took four wickets for good measure to see Lane through.
Thornton were indebted to fifth-wicket pair Ross Soames (50no) and Ben King (46no), who guided them to a victory target of 198 at home to Outlane, for whom skipper Dan Crosland made 97.
