Paul Kinder stunned Woodlands as he sealed a 53-run win for leaders Morley in Division One of the JCT600 Bradford League second-team competition.

The experienced seam bowler took 6-41 as his side wrapped up another 19 points to go 36 clear at the summit.

Opener Cieran Garner battled hard for his 76 but Woodlands were restricted to 185-9 in response to Morley’s 238-5.

Teenage batsman George Robson was in fine form as he struck an impressive unbeaten 94, while veteran Colin Nuthall weighed in with 60.

Defending champions Farsley are second after an 11-run win over struggling Bradford & Bingley.

Opener Warren Allitt made a gallant 91 for B&B but it was not quite enough as they were bowled out of 177 in reply to 188.

Baildon (174-9 – Jeff Wind 4-23) are third after their 85-run win over Hartshead Moor, who were bowled out for a disappointing 89 (Jamie Abbott 4-12).

Bottom team Yeadon gained their first league win when defeating Bowling Old Lane by eight runs.

Their match-winner was medium pacer Richard Marsden, who took 6-35 as Old Lane were bowled out for 198 in the final over. Bilal Ahmed (55) and Rashid Ramzan (54) had led the pursuit of Yeadon’s 205-7.

There was a thrilling finish at Lightcliffe, where Keighley sneaked a one-wicket win.

Amjid Hussain struck 72 as Keighley scraped past Lightcliffe’s 174 (Michael Brooke 65, Andrew Coppen 5-44) in the 51st over – the first of three extra overs they gained for bowling out the home side inside the distance.

East Bierley bounced back from their horrendous Bank Holiday defeat to Bowling Old Lane, when they were bowled out for just 26, to defeat Hanging Heaton by 131 runs.

Skipper Dan Abbott’s spell of 7-11 was decisive as Hanging Heaton were dismissed for 70 (Nabeel Hafeez 47). Bierley owed their score of 201-9 to an unbeaten 86 from Arron Brook.

Chris Sharkey was in outstanding all-round form as he helped Division Two leaders Pudsey St Lawrence beat Bankfoot by 159 runs for their ninth successive win.

The Saints innings was faltering at 110-7 when Sharkey (63) joined skipper Iain Priestley (54no) in a vital eighth-wicket stand of 122 to boost the final total to 235 (Gavin Baulk 4-42).

Sharkey followed up his batting heroics by taking 6-33 as he and Robert Thornton (4-36) skittled Bankfoot for 76.

New Farnley (Reece Thompson 74no) maintained their promotion challenge with a ten-wicket win over Manningham Mills (104-9 – Rish Limbechaya 5-27), William Swift 4-20).

Pudsey Congs also recorded a ten-wicket win as in-form Danny Clifton (43no) and Khalid Rehman (37no) powered their side past Great Horton’s total of 91 (Mohammed Bashir 5-27) in just 13.1 overs.

Fifteen-year-old opener Danny Marshall carried his bat for an unbeaten 73 but it was not enough to save Idle (144 – Liam Grant 4-33) from a nine-wicket defeat to Gomersal (Tony Balin 78no, George Senior 48no).

Adeel Nazir (129) hit the day’s only century as he helped Saltaire (232-8) to a 41-run win over Cleckheaton (191 – Chris Dobson 68, Craig Blackburn 50).

Andrew Filipowicz (93no) and Leigh Manton (65) steered Spen Victoria to a five-wicket win over Brighouse (188-9 – Jason Horsley 57, Mohammed Daud 51, Stuart Houlbrook 4-50) with one over to spare.

Undercliffe garnered a maximum 20 points from their 162-run win over Windhill after Darren Drake (74), Phil Dixon (56) and Arslan Mahmood (41no) guided them to the day’s highest total of 279-9. Windhill were bowled out for 117 (Horner 48no).
