Guiseley will have the rest of the Aire-Wharfe League cheering them on at Division One leaders Beckwithshaw on Saturday, especially Burley, who are the Harrogate club’s closest rivals.
With strength throughout their line-up, not least from former Green Lane pair Yasar Ali and Istikhar Hussain and the consistent John Inglis, Beckwithshaw have dropped only three points this season. With a nine-point advantage already, they look capable of running away with the title.
No one has bowled them out yet and Guiseley will need something like a repeat of last week’s 6-15 from Tallan Wright if they are to halt the leaders’ progress.
Like Beckwithshaw, Burley have been one of the teams regularly in contention for silverware over the past few years and, after losing two of their three opening matches this season, again look to be one of the main challengers.
They take a three-match winning run to struggling Kirkstall and, with Nick Brook in impressive form – two centuries and a half-century in his last three innings – should return with all six points.
The bottom half of the table sees seven clubs separated by only six points so there will be plenty of room for movement up and down.
Fresh from notching their first win since promotion, Harden will be looking for a repeat performance at Otley to take themselves off the bottom of the table.
Ben Rhydding are one of only two clubs to take a point off Beckwithshaw and will be seeking to extend the gap between themselves and opponents Follifoot, while Steeton will hope to get back to winning ways at a Bilton side who look strong on their home track.
Calverley have had a miserable start to their Division Two campaign, picking up a solitary point in their first six games and dumped out of the cup. Few will give them much chance of ending that sequence when they travel to Knaresborough, who have an eight-point lead at the top.
Rawdon were the club that dropped that point to Calverley and their failure to take full points from games they have dominated is the main reason they are not the closest pursuers of the leaders.
They need to put that right against an Ilkley side that hasn’t won since the opening match.
Thackley are likely to need Nasser Jamal and Mahir Ali in their best form if they are to take full points at Colton, who have equipped themselves creditably since winning promotion, although they slipped up badly against Bardsey last week, which will provide a useful warning to Green Lane not to underestimate Saturday's opponents.
Bolton Villas travel to Tong Park Esholt, with both sides looking to build on good wins last week.
There is no doubting the top match in Division Three as leaders Skipton entertain Horsforth, who have shot up to second with four wins out of their last five matches.
Fourth-placed Addingham should be too strong for Alwoodley, who are back in the bottom spot they have filled so often in recent years, while Menston host Upper Wharfedale, both sides being locked on 15 points in mid-table.
Olicanian face a tricky trip to Illingworth, who are up to third after three straight wins, while the four clubs hovering above Alwoodley slug it out together, Silsden at Woodhouse and Hall Park at New Rover.
