There appears to be no let-up at the top of Division A of the Dales Council League as leaders Pudsey Congs won for the sixth successive week, this time after inflicting a crushing ten-wicket win at Farnley Hill.

Batting first the home side were shot out for just 52, with Adam Patrick (3-12) and Steve Bedford (3-13) in control for the leaders.

In reply Congs wasted little time in knocking off the target, with Mohammed Zulfikar (43no) leading the charge to 55-0 to maintain their 24-point lead at the top.

Cookridge and New Wortley share second place in the table, Cookridge (187, Colin Oates 74, Harron Rashid 57no) defeating basement side Adel (140) by 47 runs, while Wortley (144-3, Safiullah Khan 62) completed a seven-wicket win at home to winless Crompark A (138, Chris Halliday 50).

Shipley Providence did not enjoy their trip to Dewsbury when home side Saville Stars made 169-7. In reply Prov had no answer to Ansar Mohammed, who returned 7-6 as the visitors were dismantled for just 55.

For the second time in six days, a hat-trick occurred in the fixture at Westfield Lane, where Kane Whittal (3-39) for visitors Baildon achieved the feat. However, Andy Clinton of Hepworth & Idle had the last word, hitting an unbeaten 86 to steer his side to 174-6 and a four-wicket success.

Earlier, Baildon had reached (170-9, Majid Hussain 60).

Halifax Direct (93-3) completed a seven-wicket win over 2012 champions Leeds Sikh (92).

In Division B, leaders Tong Park Esholt (70-6) maintained their 100 per cent start, recording a four-wicket win over visitors Undercliffe (69).

Thornbury (172, Brian Heaton 5-39) remain in second spot, 13 points behind, following a 99-run win at home to Hepworth & Idle B, who were dismissed for just 73 in reply (Zubair Zahid 4-24).

Aidan Dunne produced some remarkable bowling when returning 5-1 for Drighlington-Whitehall (137-7), helping dismiss visitors Farsley for 103.

The closest finish of the day occurred at Pudsey St Lawrence, where the home side made 161-9. In reply, despite the best efforts of Masood Akhtar (52), visitors Cookridge B came up just short at 147.

In Division C, Pudsey Congs B (214-4) continue to lead the way after completing a 125-run win at home to Drighlington-Whitehall (89).
