Yorkshire claimed three wickets during a shortened fourth afternoon, but their LV= County Championship match against Somerset at Headingley will be a draw.
When play started at 2.10pm with 56 overs left in the day today - after rain wiped out sessions two and three yesterday and the first one today - Somerset were 190-5 in reply to 505-9 declared from Yorkshire in their first innings.
It needed quick wickets to make Somerset follow on if there was to be any chance of a third straight win for the White Rose. And three came as they slipped to 222-8 as Steve Patterson struck twice and Rich Pyrah once.
Patterson had Jos Buttler caught behind with the second ball of the day before Pyrah had James Hildreth (39) caught at point by Pyrah, who later caught Peter Trego at cover off Patterson.
But Alfonso Thomas and former Tyke Steve Kirby have since batted for 12.5 overs to take the sting out of the contest, leaving their side at 243-8 at tea. There are 33 available overs left in the match.
