Bradford & District Evening League vice-chairman Brian Lymbery has issued a clarification regarding the use of English on the field of play.
He said: “If umpires feel that the body language of players or tone of voice is threatening, they can insist that English is the only language used.”
The directive has come from the England and Wales Cricket Board's legal department.
