Mewies Solicitors Craven League secretary Ann Coe is concerned about the long-term effects of last season’s terrible weather.
In her annual report to the league, she states: “Clubs are reliant on monies coming in on match days - sub and refreshment money for example.
“Without this, how can clubs afford to play next year?
“This season will have an impact financially for some years to come.
“I know it’s not much comfort and just a token gesture but the executive (committee) have agreed to reduce the league fees next year (2013). Every little helps.”
Out of 1,320 scheduled matches in the league in 2012, 429 were lost to the rain.
