Of the 15 proposed rule changes brought to the Mewies Solicitors Craven League annual meeting at Skipton LMS Sports Club, only one was passed.
That was the rule regarding playing matches on the dates approved by the league committee.
The addition to the rule reads: “If a club decides it is unable to fulfil the Craven League fixture (league or cup) on the due date due to their decision to participate in a non-Craven League fixture, they will be deemed to have forfeited the Craven League fixture.” That was passed 20-8.
The only other rule which came close to being passed by the required two-thirds majority was the new transfer rule regarding Sunday League players getting confirmation from their club secretary that they have no objections to them playing in the Craven League on Saturdays.
That just failed 18-10 but none of the other 13 even managed to get a majority, never mind a two-thirds majority.
