Albion Sports are a comfortable fourth in Division One of the Northern Counties East League after stretching their unbeaten run to five games.
However, they did come close to throwing away what should have been an unassailable lead at Dinnington Town before closing out for a 3-2 win.
Timo Khan lashed in from the edge of the area to give Albion a tenth-minute lead with what proved to be the only goal of the first half.
On the hour mark, Joshua Cook netted the visitors’ second, also from distance.
The home side hit back after Asif Hussain had conceded a penalty and they levelled minutes later but the visitors held their nerve and Cook netted the winner.
Albion boss Kulwinder Sandhu said: “From being comfortable we ended up having a worrying time but we didn’t panic. We did well really all through the game and for Joshua – from right back – to get two goals was tremendous.”
