Silsden face a tough task in the North West Counties League on Saturday as they head to Premier Division leaders Bootle.
The Merseyside outfit have dropped just four points during an unbeaten start. They top the table on goal difference only but closest challengers Barnoldswick Town have played three games more.
It has not been a bad start for the Cobbydalers and they are tucked into 11th place after nine games with 14 points.
They are traditionally slow out of the blocks so if manager Chris Reape can get the best out of his squad as the season goes on, it should be a good one.
But his side need to bounce back from last weekend’s FA Vase exit and improve as they have not won since the start of the month.
