Ossett Albion will be wary of a backlash on Saturday when they face Farsley for the second time in five days.

Farsley will be on a revenge mission in the FA Cup first-qualifying round clash after a 2-0 midweek Evo-Stik League Division One North defeat to their neighbours.

The game on Tuesday was at Albion’s ground but Farsley have home advantage this time.

Eccleshill United also earned a home tie in this round and they host Evo-Stik League Premier Division outfit North Ferriby United.

The Eagles will be hoping Charlie Flaherty, their talisman from two earlier ties, will be firing on all cylinders.

Flaherty netted two of the goals in a 4-2 extra-preliminary round win and bagged another in his side’s preliminary-round derby victory at Brighouse Town.

Liversedge will be looking to keep 11 men on the pitch when they host Barton Town Old Boys in the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division on Saturday.

Sedge are behind their visitors in the table but are hard to beat this term since Eric Gilchrist returned to the hot seat at Clayborn.

Even though they finished Tuesday’s game with nine men, after Danny Cooper and goal-scorer Chris Wood had been dismissed – one of them along with an opponent in an incident-packed encounter – they still earned a point from a 1-1 draw.

Neighbours Brighouse Town are a healthy fourth in the early table, and even though they are away they will be seeking another victory at promoted Glasshoughton Welfare.

Town go into the fixture on the back of three straight victories.

Thackley are also on the road as they travel to Long Eaton United, who are ahead of them in the table.

The tenth-placed Dennyboys’ form is inconsistent and they have dipped below manager Vince Brockie’s target of two points per game in their seven league fixtures to date.

Silsden travel to the seaside for a top-four clash in the North West Counties League Premier Division and will try to use one of their games in hand to leapfrog AFC Blackpool.

The hosts have the edge as they are third in the table but the fourth-placed Cobbydalers have played two games fewer.

Chris Reape’s squad were denied a home fixture in midweek because Padiham had an FA Cup replay and also had an earlier fixture shelved when Colne’s pitch was waterlogged.

Silsden will be hoping to build on their victory last time out, when long-term absentee Kevin Ryan returned to score in the 2-1 verdict at Alsager Town.
