Farsley 0 Mossley 4
Farsley suffered their first defeat of the new season and it was a chastening experience as Mossley won both halves.
The Lancashire outfit’s new signing from Curzon Ashton, Adam Mather, opened the scoring for his new club on his debut and Chris Rowney added a second late in the half.
Mossley player-manager Steve Halford headed home from a corner early in the second half and substitute Ben Richardson scored eight minutes from time to make it 4-0 when he hooked the ball past Farsley keeper Tom Guildford from inside a packed area.
The victory may have ended Farsley’s unbeaten start but it maintained Mossley’s 100 per cent record in the league.
They climbed one place to third while Neil Parsley’s men tumbled from sixth to 14th.
