Yorkshire Amateurs 5 Albion Sports 3
Albion Sports’ unpredictable season took a nosedive as they lost out in a Baris Northern Counties East Division One derby clash at Yorkshire Amateur.
The Leeds based hosts had a 2-0 lead a little over half an hour into the game but Albion’s Karl Hall struck twice in a five-minute spell to see the teams go into the break level.
Disaster struck early in the second half when Albion’s Billy Swiatack sliced an attempted clearance into his own net.
Amateur netted again but Alex Cusack put Albion back in the game at 4-3. However, any hopes of a comeback vanished as the home side went nap.
Albion boss Kulwinder Sandhu said: “I’m disappointed once again. You can’t afford to gift goals to the opposition. It was defensive errors that cost us. If you score three good goals away from home you expect to win but we got nothing from the game.”
