Silsden 4 Stone Dominoes 0 A hat-trick from Mike Garrod helped the Cobbydalers to a comfortable home win and pushed their points total in the North West Counties Premier Division into double figures from five starts.
Garrod netted the game’s first goal in the 29th minute when he rifled home a loose ball after two efforts in the same attack had been blocked.
The home supporters did not have too long to wait before former Bradford City youth James Nanje-Ngoe doubled the lead on his debut.
There were further chances before the break. Elliot Holmes was particularly unfortunate after forcing the visitors’ keeper into a sharp stop.
The visitors came into it after the break as Joe Wooliscroft and Greg Matthews went close.
But Garrod put the result beyond doubt when he cut inside before sliding a shot under Stone’s keeper in the 66th minute.
He claimed his treble just five minutes later with the goal of the game.
Joe Gaughan began a move with a superbly-struck cross-field ball. Danny Bryan controlled and crossed for Garrod to head home, putting the icing on the cake as Silsden went fourth in the table on ten points.
