Charlie Flaherty fired Eccleshill United into the first qualifying round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win at higher-ranking neighbours Brighouse Town.
The versatile forward bagged a second brace after also notching a double against Silsden in the previous round. The deadlock was broken in the 56th minute when Flaherty cut into the area from the left and hit a shot that took a slight deflection on its way in.
Town equalised through Tom Matthews after a spell off pinball in the Eagles’ area.
With a little over ten minutes left, the visitors won it as Flaherty saved the best for last. He was picked out by an Andy Howland cross and drilled a shot into the top corner.
Eccleshill now have chance to double their winnings so far, with £3,000 on offer for the winners of their first-round qualifier, in which they entertain North Ferriby United.
