Defending champions Buttershaw White Star suffered an early Bradford Sunday Alliance League setback as they were held to a midweek draw by Bolton Woods.
White Star, who had opened their Premier Division campaign with an 11-2 thumping of Queensbury, could only share the Thursday spoils after a 2-2 stalemate.
Woods took the lead through Kyle Berry and although Steve Hollingworth netted twice in reply, Dave Nelson ensured honours finished even.
The early top-flight leaders are promoted Sandy Lane, who followed up an 8-1 win against Westwood Park by defeating Dudley Hill Rangers 1-0 in their second outing.
West Bowling, runners-up last term, kicked off with a 5-0 midweek victory over promoted Thornton United.
Bowling are at Mill Lane on Sunday for possibly the match of the day, although another key clash will be Wyke Wanderers at home to unbeaten Bolton Woods.
The two promoted clubs clash in Division One as Buttershaw Celtic host Stanningley Albion.
There is a full programme scheduled in all divisions this weekend, although Premier club Westwood Park have withdrawn from the league with immediate effect.
