Promoted Bradford Park Avenue head to Vauxhall Motors tomorrow night in search of their first Blue Square Bet North Division win.
John Deacey’s men opened their campaign with a 2-2 home draw at the weekend but although they only banked one point, it felt like a victory.
Avenue were reeling at 2-0 down but outplayed visitors Worcester City in the second half and Richard Marshall thumped home an 88th-minute equaliser.
The Motormen, who won 1-0 at Corby in their opening fixture of the new season, will be favourites tomorrow but that will not deter Avenue.
Deacey is waiting on news of Danny Holland (knee), Alex Davidson (toe) and Jamie Jackson (hamstring), who all picked up injuries on Saturday.
Skipper Rob O’Brien could also still be sidelined after missing the Worcester game with a thigh strain.
Meanwhile, divisional rivals Guiseley will be in good spirits for the visit of Droylsden, who they beat 4-3 in the corresponding fixture last season.
The Lions gained maximum points at Histon on Saturday, netting four goals and also having two disallowed even though they had strikers James Walshaw and Chris Mason both missing through injury.
Manager Steve Kittrick will add Stephen Brogan to his squad after signing the 24-year-old midfielder from Stalybridge Celtic.
Colwyn Bay provide the opposition for FC Halifax Town’s first home game of the season.
The Shaymen will be looking to make it two wins from two after Neil Aspin’s side beat Bishop’s Stortford 2-1 on Saturday. Bay were 3-1 winers at home to Solihull Moors.
Town will be without Ben Futcher, who remains at Bury as their temporary assistant manager, Dan Gardner (knee) and Scott McManus (groin).
